Insider's View of Mormon Origins by Grant Palmer
Review by Sue Emmett
Grant Palmer - MA, American History, BYU - (and retired from a career as Director of several Institues of Religion , instructor at the Church College of New Zealand, and Seminary teacher) has written a very important addition to the growing libary of well-researched and scholarly titles about the history of Mormonism.
Grant H. Palmer carefully and orderly lays out the "official" interpretations of events from the Mormon past, and presents documentation which shows how many of those stories and traditions have been skewed or misrepresented over the past 180+ years. His interpretations are fair, and his documentation is fascinating.
This book is a "must-read" for anyone who has an interest in the story of Mormonism, and especially for those sincerely seeking the documented facts that lie behind the myths and stories of Mormonism often found in official church publications.
